Super delayed upload!

I admit that I haven't been able to scrap as much as I want to but I get to finish a layout every now and then. Here are a few that I finished these past few months that I haven't share yet...

These layouts are "just because" layouts... just had fun creating these using photos from an out of trip last summer and using one of my favorite manufacturers.... My Mind's Eye.

Another simple layout, this time using Websters' Pages. Can you tell I'm having fun with my Cameo?

Thanks for dropping by...I have another layout coming up next week!

Just Because

I managed to finish a few layouts a week ago...

This layout is another clean and simple layout, and inspired by Sketch #96 at Inspired Blueprints. Since it was just summer on our part of the globe, my photos are mostly from our vacations. This one is about quiet time at the beach.  Here's the sketch if you want to play along. I love the sketch! So simple yet so full of possiblities!

This next layout is a just because layout...no challenges, no sketch for this one just pure scrapbooking FUN!

Obviously, I'm having fun playing with my Silhouette. Thanks to freebies too! I found these free cut files through Pinterest. The "so very special" sentiment is from Lilith's Scrapbooking Venture but I can't seem to trace the source of the "lovely" frame. Sorry...but it is a free cut file too!

My guilty pleasure is...

This month's theme at Once Upon A Sketch is all about guilty pleasures. I think mine would be travelling. Here's a layout about one of our recent out of town trips this summer. The sketch is lovely as well and I really enjoyed playing with my newly acquired Silhouette.

I'm also very grateful for Pinterest for helping me find Birds Cards where I got this free background cut file!
Stay tuned...I have more to share!

Winter Colors

The June challenge at Scrap the Girls is up! It's all about winter colors....and it's definitely up to your own interpretation. The first colors that popped into my head were blue and white which reminds me of snow but you can actually use other colors. Here's my layout....

I hope you are not sick of my ballet pics just yet...again, thanks for the visit and hope to see your layout at Scrap the Girls!

A Star is Born

My DD Julia loves to dance and every summer she takes part in a ballet recital. I was able to scrap a photo of her taken during their photo shoot. My inspiration was Prima's May Build a Sketch. This layout is another proof that I am a simple scrapper...just a few embelishments and I consider my layout done!

Thanks for the visit!

Beauty in Stone

Our recent trip to Siem Reap in Cambodia was called "Beauty in Stone" and this is the title I used for my layout. The title is just perfect because the stone carvings are really beautiful and intricate. Its so hard to believe that they were made in the 13th century!

Anyway, here's my layout using My Mind's Eye and inspired by the May Sketch at Creative Scrappers!

Here's the sketch if you want to play along too...

Thanks for dropping by!

Make A Wish!

I have a print out of the sketches that I plan on working on for the month. This time, since its a long weekend for us, I decided on playing with Sketchabilities sketch #90. Its really a great sketch with banners which remains to be a favorite of mine. Here's the sketch...

And here's my layout using October Afternoon Cakewalk...scrapped a photo from Ally's birthday last year.

Its another last minute entry for me...layouts are due tomorrow!

The May Challenge is up at SCRAP THE GIRLS, and its a fun one. All you need to do is to use the quote, "A smile is the best make up a girl can wear." It can be part of your title or your journaling.

Here's my layout...

I hope you like it coz I had fun making it. Played with texture paste and distress inks for this one.

Some unshared layouts...

April is almost over, and it sure went by fast! With the kids on summer vacation, our days have been busy with swimming and ballet lessons and of course going on out of town trips. This means lots photos but less scrapping time.

Just sharing some layouts I finished in the past...

This layout is based on Inspired Blueprints Sketch #87 last March.

This layout is based on a sketch at My Scraps and More

Thanks for dropping by. I'm off to finish a layout!

Little Moments

The heat is on in our side of the globe! Time to hit the beach or just stay in an air-conditioned room to scrap the day away. If you are looking for some inspiration, then we have what you are looking for over at Scrap The Girls. Our April challenge is about paint/mists, buttons and hexagons!

Here's my layout of me and DD Julia. Its our own version of a selfie.

Our photo is a bit dark, but who cares...It's the little moments that make life big!

Do join us for this challenge. You have till the end of the month to link up your layout.

What a Day!

We were on a staycation during the past holiday...of course a scrapper takes advantage of this time to play with paper, scissors and glue.

Here is just one of the six layouts I finished during that weekend...

Did this for the MME March Sketch Challenge...yup, still scrapping pics for our SG trip. Better do so now before summer photos start piling up.

In case you want some inspiration, here's the sketch I'm talking about...

Will be posting some of the other layouts I finished in the coming days.

You are Blessed

It's officially summer vacation here! Kids are out of school and the heat is on. Hopefully things will be more relaxed which means more scrapping time.

Here's one of my latest layouts...inspired by the Prima BAP for March. I scrapped here a photo my DD Julia taken on her first communion ceremonies last October.

Here's the sketch that inspired me....

That's it folks!

Sweet Love

Whew! February is going by so fast. I didn't realize its going to be March in a few days. Anyway, here's my layout for the Scrap the Girls Feb challenge. We have a sketch for you....

The DT also had the chance to play with sticky paper from Sawyer's Place, our sponsor for this month. I used the paper as a mat for my photo. There's still a couple more days left till the deadline!

Its not too late for Christmas layouts

I was at an overnight scrapping party last weekend to celebrate my friend Rita's birthday. Since its still January, I decided I'll work on my Christmas photos.

Here's my output....4 layouts after about 10 hours of scrapping with eating and chatting in between. We started around 5 pm and called it a night at 4 am.

A simple layout using Websters' Royal Christmas

Another layout using Websters' Royal Christmas.
Journaling: It's our turn to smile and pose --- can't help it, we have to have a wacky shot.

I used My Mind's Eye Merry and Bright pps for this one. Had fun with Washi tape too.

Used Echo Park for this one.
Journaling: Year after year, you decorate this small tree in your own little way. This year you used small stars made from folded strips of paper which you made with Ate Julia (Ally at 6 y/o)

I really had fun scrapping the night away and creating these layouts. No rules were followed (or broken, LOL), it was just pure scrapping FUN!

I'm back!

Happy New Year to all! I know my greeting is very late but I just realized that this is my first blog post for 2013! Yup, my scrapbooking is off to a slow start this year but I'm glad to share with you two new layouts! Both are about my daughters' love for ballet...

Title: I hope you dance
My DD Ally on her first ballet recital last May 2012. She loves dancing and is already looking forward to her next dance recital this summer. Used a mini kit by Echo Park.

Title: She's a Dancer
My DD Julia on her ballet recital last May 2011. She stopped taking lessons for 1 1/2 years but her love for ballet has prevailed so now she's back. The background paper and flowers are from Prima but the stickers are from Echo Park. Oh, and this layout is based on Sketch 241 at Creative Scrappers.

Thanks for dropping! My next agenda is to scrap Christmas photos. Hope to be back soon.
